Once in a blue moon, Chris gets to have a bit of a busman’s holiday and do some building work on his own home…

Kitchen renovation, 2021

The family wanted a new kitchen on a similar footprint. Chris demolished the previous kitchen which was over 20 years old, then worked alongside a kitchen designer to bring the family’s vision to life. He installed the new kitchen and arranged subcontractors to complete other parts of the project, including tile splash back and induction cooktop. The exposed flooring, previously hidden by the old kitchen, was sanded and re-varnished to match.

Bathroom renovation, 2022

The bathroom did not need redesigning, but upgrading using higher quality products. Chris demolished the old bathroom including flooring and cabinets, ordered new whiteware and arranged subcontractors to complete the build. This included a tiler, electrician, plumber, glazing contractor and painter.
